The new documentary, "PlantPure Nation," opens our eyes to the impact big companies have on the American diet. Nelson Campbell and T. Colin Campbell, PhD (who is also the author of the bestselling "The China Study") joined us to tell us more about how they hope to jumpstart our nation back to better health.
“It has a chilling effect,” Shapiro added — not least because its implications extend far beyond that of the factory farm. The AARP, for one, came out against the bill because it “extends to all industries including nursing homes, hospitals, group homes, medical practices, charter and private schools, daycare centers, and so forth.” The Wounded Warrior Project spoke out against it as well: “As an organization dedicated to honoring and empowering injured service members,” CEO Steven Nardizzi wrote in a statement, “we are concerned that this legislation might cause wrongdoing at hospitals and institutions to go unchecked.” The N.C. Council for Women and the Domestic Violence Commission, meanwhile, pointed to cases where undercover recordings were used to uncover and prosecute human sex and labor trafficking.

Victoria Moran is not some random author trying to profit from veganism, which oddly enough, some people consider to be a dieting trend but she actually lives the life she writes about. National Doughnut Day:
During World War I, women volunteering for the Salvation Army made doughnuts for soldiers serving overseas as a way to boost morale. National Doughnut Day was launched in 1938 by the Chicago branch of the Salvation Army, in part as a way to raise funds for, and awareness of, the organization’s work in the community. But the spirit behind the day was the recognition of these women’s contribution to the war effort.
The first Friday of every June is National Doughnut Day, the sweetest holiday of the year. This year, it falls on June 5, here is a list of the top six vegan-friendly doughnut shops in the United States.
