Hold the Line
What would you do if staying silent meant turning your back on someone who needed you? ❤️🇺🇸
That’s the question at the heart of my song, “Hold the Line.”
I keep thinking about how easy it is to look away. To tell ourselves it’s not our fight. To stay quiet because speaking up might cost us a friendship, a job, or the comfort of pretending everything is fine.
But what happens when the person being pushed around is your neighbor? A stranger? Someone who has nobody else standing beside them?
That’s when our values stop being words and start meaning something.
In “Hold the Line,” I tell the story of someone standing on a street corner, camera in hand, watching power push people around. She’s scared. She knows there may be a price to pay. But she remembers what her mama taught her: courage isn’t about never feeling afraid. It’s about doing what’s right when your knees are shaking.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can say is enough.
This song blends gritty country guitars, heartfelt vocals, and a chorus you can sing with your windows down and your whole heart in it. But beneath the music is a simple truth: freedom means little if we won’t stand up for one another.
I believe most of us want to do the right thing. We just need a reminder that we don’t have to do it alone.
And maybe that reminder starts with a song.
🎶 Listen to “Hold the Line” and share it with someone who believes that kindness takes courage, every voice matters, and nobody should have to stand alone.
Because doing the right thing isn’t always easy. But it’s always worth asking ourselves what kind of people we want to be.
